These specially machined grooves allow brake dust, debris, gasses and carbon deposits to be spun off from the braking disc surface which improves braking efficiency. The dimples prevent cracking and help to break down surface gasses, further improving braking efficiency under heavy load. The grooves also help to increase brake pad friction which in turn reduces stopping distances quite significantly. EBC GD Discs are manufactured using a high-quality alloy designed to run up to 900 degrees centigrade (glowing red hot). EBC GD discs are designed for fast road, light race, rally and track day use.
